Hot Girl + Smart Brain + Video Blogging = …
This is what Marina from Hot for Words is about (I am referring to the site http://www.HotforWords.com). And this has proven to be a true success in blogging (video blogging in particular).
A beautiful woman explains the origin of the words. Who might think that this is a viable business idea? It is!!
Marina's YouTube channel has - fasten your seat belts - 74,240 subscribers with over 2,800,000 views. Heck, I am sure traffic gurus would eat their hats, socks or anything else to have the same fame and popularity.
Ok, Nice Lady has a Blog? So What?!
This issue is a lot beyond nice looking women with talent for words. This is a perfect example of the blogging to come to a new well-rumored stage - video blogging, in this particular case - hero-based or personage-based video blogging, when all video content is about one and the same person.
And Marina from Hot for Words is a perfect proof that video blogging can be absolutely successful.
These are the key elements for the success of video blogging:
- great idea
- possibility to add new video content on a regular (better frequent) basis
- attractive hero/personage (this is not necessarily beauty, but peoples' hearts must accept you in, the virtual person from the blog must be exciting to look at and follow)
- interactivity (Marina asks to send her words and she will explain the meaning)

Beyond the beauty there's the entertainment, and that is the key to education. Marina's audience is more than adolescent males with hormonal fantasies, and some of the discussions on her vlogs are indepth and erudite.

Popped over from the HFW website, saw your little write up in a widget. A few months ago I subscribed to Marinas' website (free by the way) & have learned a lot more than just word origins & meanings. I learn from others as well as enjoy good conversations (mostly) with people worldwide. Have laughed & even cried at times. Have enjoyed watching, HFW grow & develope into a welcoming environment as Marina converses & listens to input from the students, who have left hundreds of comments, many well thought out & often funny, on each video. The early videos are easily accesable & the website is easy & friendly to navigate around in. There is always something fluid & facinating (to me) about the site that keeps me coming back.
